Cadence (“we”, “us”) is a speech-practice app. This policy explains what data we handle and why.
What we process
On your device. Microphone audio while you practice, used to transcribe and score your speaking. Transcripts, scores, streaks, goals, questionnaire answers, custom prompts, and session history stored locally on your phone. Audio is processed on-device. Cadence does not upload practice recordings in version 1.0.
If you create an email account. Email address and a user ID via Firebase Authentication. A small profile (name, streak, XP) may sync to Cloud Firestore.
Diagnostics. Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to keep Cadence stable. These are not used for advertising.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your practice audio for advertising.
- We do not show third-party ads.
- We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Sharing
We use Google Firebase as a processor for authentication, analytics, and crash reporting. Optional “Share score card” uses your device share sheet; you choose the destination.
Retention and deletion
Local practice data stays on your device until you delete the app or use Delete account in Settings. Delete account removes the local profile, questionnaire, and practice history, and requests deletion of your Firebase user if you signed in with email.
Children
Cadence is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country).
